BeechTree Celebrates Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month, and we’re celebrating the contributions of women from around the world. Learn more about the women who have changed the fabric of our world.

The Darnall’s Chance House Museum in Prince George’s County, just minutes from BeechTree, showcases the history and culture of life in 18th century Prince George's County, Maryland, with special emphasis on the lives of mid-18th century women. The museum conducts guided house tours on Fridays and Sundays and by appointment.

The National Museum of Women in the Arts on New York Avenue in downtown D.C. is the only museum dedicated solely to the contributions of women to arts and culture. The museum is open daily and features works by female artists in many mediums from around the world.

The Maryland Women’s Heritage Center has a long list of events that celebrate women this month. From the STEM Expo to a concert featuring the music of female composers, you can find the perfect educational event for your family.
