A Day of Celebration and Exploration at the Bowie International Festival
On Saturday, October 3, from 11am to 5pm, Allen Pond Park will host the annual Bowie International Festival. It’s just minutes from BeechTree, so bring your family, friends and neighbors to celebrate cultures and countries from around the globe through performing arts, visual arts and exotic cuisine!
The event features an entertainment schedule that’s jam-packed with performances, each with its own international twist. With 14 dance groups and musical performances on two stages, you’ll find something that everyone enjoys.
Getting your kids involved in the fun is easy! Stop by the Diversity Committee Booth to pick up a passport, and your kids can participate in the 12 Children’s Passport Stations, located throughout the park. Have your child’s passport stamped at each station and they’ll earn prizes for exploring multicultural arts, crafts, sports, games and more. In addition to all of the fun activities, you’ll want to browse the huge selection of crafts, clothing, jewelry and other offerings from around the world. With nearly 40 vendors and booths, you’ll experience something new from every corner of the globe.
