Where to See Fireworks in Prince George’s County
BeechTree is located close to the exciting 4th of July celebrations taking place in D.C. and Annapolis, but if you want to stick closer to home this Independence Day, you won’t have to go far.
Unfortunately, National Harbor announced that it won’t have any 4th of July fireworks this year, but you’re not out of luck if you’re looking for a nearby fireworks show to enjoy. Here are three great choices for where to watch fireworks in Prince George’s County in 2017:
Bowie Baysox (Bowie, MD | July 4) Bowie, MD, located just down the road from BeechTree is home to the Baltimore Orioles’ AA minor league affiliate, the Baysox. This local favorite ballclub hosts the Hartford Yard Goats on Tuesday, July 4th, for a game that gets started at 6:35pm. After the game, watch a special post-game fireworks show!
Six Flags America (Upper Marlboro, MD | July 2-4) Head over to nearby Six Flags America on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday for an entire day of family fun. Hit the water park and ride all the rides starting at 10:30am, and then watch live entertainment at 8:45pm before the fireworks show lights up the sky above the park at 9:15pm.
University of Maryland (College Park, MD | July 4) Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and sit back and enjoy an evening of entertainment, food and, of course, fireworks. Beginning at 5pm, College Park’s 4th of July celebration will feature live music and a wide array of concession options on the grounds of the University of Maryland. We hope you have a fun, safe holiday weekend ahead and look forward to celebrating America with you on July 4th!
